PLAIN CITY, Ohio, August 2, 2007 - 7HO9291 Butler-Butz Sam ANGLER-ET, bred by Jim and Jeff Butler and Mark Butz, Chebanse, IL, and Cedar Rapids, IA, has been identified as a Super Sampler(TM) at Select Sires. Because of his elite, show-winning pedigree, ANGLER has also been chosen as a Showcase Selections(TM) sire. With these designations, ANGLER semen is now available to all Holstein breeders. ANGLER is sired by 7HO6758 Regancrest-MR Drham SAM-ET, the highly reliable 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET son. ANGLER's dam, EO Siemers Ashlyns Angel-ET (VG-89) was the reserve All-American 2-year-old in 2006. The grandam is Tri-Day Ashlyn-ET (EX-96-2E), the 9HO1833 Marcrest ENCORE daughter and perennial show winner. "ANGLER's maternal side will enhance his popularity," said Scott Culbertson, dairy sire analyst for Select Sires. "Complementing the pedigree with MR SAM, the customer-satisfaction specialist, maintains the good rear udders that the maternal family is known for. Look for ANGLER to sire well-balanced cows for both the show ring and the commercial producer seeking uniformity and great udders."

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Aug. 7, 2007 — 7H09165 Regancrest S BRAXTON-ET, bred by Regancrest Farm, Waukon, Iowa, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, BRAXTON is one of 330 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2007. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler. With this designation, BRAXTON semen is available to all Holstein breeders. Sired by the globally popular Picston Shottle-ET, BRAXTON boasts a high-type pedigree with positive health traits. His dam, Regancrest-PR Barbie-ET (VG-89-EX-MS-DOM), is an All-American-nominated 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET*CV with five milking daughters, all of which were scored Very Good as 2-year-olds. BRAXTON is expected to yield great results for a wide variety of markets.
