2011 Iowa Junior Holstein Convention

2012 Iowa Holstein Princess Contest
The Iowa Holstein Auxiliary will conduct the Iowa Holstein Princess Contest in conjunction with the Iowa Holstein Association Annual Meeting on February 24 at the Hotel Winneshiek, Decorah. The rules are as follows. Candidate must be 17 years of age and not over 21 years of age by August 1, 2012. Candidate must have a dairy farm background with parents or guardians who are currently engaged in the production of milk for sale during the coming year. If you or if you know someone who qualifies and would like to run, please mail or email a completed Princess Candidate Application by February 1 to Janet Joachim, 1188 230th St, Waverly, IA 50677; djoachim2844@hotmail.com or phone 319-352-2844.

Iowa Holstein Auxliary Scholarships
The deadline for the auxiliary's scholarship applications is now February 1 instead of August 1. Click here for an application. Up to three $500 scholarships will be awarded. This scholarship is available only to non-dairy science majors and can only be received one time.

Junior Association Clothing Fundraiser
The juniors currently have eight different designs for t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts for sale. Click here for an order form. Thank you to Joanne Rauen and Envision Sports Designs (Tom Rauen) for all of their work on this project. This has been an excellent fundraiser for our juniors.
