A beautiful spring day in West Union, Iowa, was the setting for a spectacular Iowa Spring Sale. It was a record setting day with the highest ever top 2 selling animals (Lot 7 - $68,000 and Lot 8 - $48,000) in the Iowa Spring Sale. The sale averaged $4,987 on 82 lots. Thanks to our consignors, buyers and sale management for another excellent Iowa Spring Sale!!

Iowa Holstein Auxliary Cookbook
The Iowa Holstein Auxiliary is starting to compile recipes for a new cookbook. The deadline for submitting recipes is May 1. Click here for the recipe form.

Attention Juniors - Display Contest Changes
Folding Display Contest rules have changed. There is no longer a limit on the number of entries a state can summit. In addition there are now two divisions, scientific and creative. Any junior can enter both divisions. Age categories will remain the same. You do not have to bring folding displays to State Sale to be judged. However you are welcome to bring them March 17th to get help from the judges. Anyone wanting to enter a display board at Nationals will have to inform Jeff Hammerand before May 1st.

2012 Iowa Holstein Convention
The Iowa Holstein Convention will be February 24-25 at the Hotel Winneshiek, Decorah. Check back for convention highlights.
